Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Fusion/ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support its Independent Verification and Validation (IV & V) efforts for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System software implementation. The SME will ensure that the ERP implementation meets Metro's needs and requirements, is appropriately configured, achieves quality and security objectives, and functions as designed. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing risk, ensuring compliance with development process standards, and ensuring no disruption to core enterprise business services during and after the migration from PeopleSoft 9.1 to Oracle Fusion.
Background:
Metro is implementing Oracle Fusion as its new ERP System, covering Financial, Procurement, Human Capital Management, and Enterprise Learning Management modules. Oracle Corporation, the System Integrator (SI) vendor, is assisting Metro with the transition. The ERP Program is led by the Chief Financial Officer in partnership with the Chief Digital Officer and the Chief People Officer.
Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Advise on overall strategy and implementation path forward.
- Demonstrate expertise in implementing large-scale cloud-based ERP systems or IV&V of cloud-based ERP systems.
- Engage with leadership and key stakeholders.
- Provide highly technical and specialized expertise.
- Review the work of junior staff, perform assessments and analysis, and draft and present findings and reports.
Verification & Validation:
- Establish governance structure, roles, responsibilities, processes, and cadences for effective management of scope, decisions, risks, and issues.
- Finalize software metrics definition, assessment, and reporting.
- Set up requirements validation methods (testing, simulations, analysis).
- Establish test planning, conduct, measurement, and reporting at various implementation phases.
- Utilize expert-level understanding of software development strategies/methodologies to develop processes and tailor tools for implementation management.
- Establish processes for managing risks, action items, issues, decisions, and associated escalation plans, as well as for managing and tracking requirements.
- Document and present recommendations aligning with Metro Executive staff parameters while mitigating identified risks.
Change/Communications:
- Assess and classify impacts of change management plans on stakeholders and stakeholder groups.
- Review communications methods, cadences, and communications used for stakeholder updates.
- Assess the Change Measurement Approach and criteria, and present recommendations for improved results.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience as a practitioner in Oracle Fusion/ERP implementation or IV&V of cloud-based ERP systems.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Oracle Fusion. Ideally the ERP SME will have experience supporting migration from Peoplesoft to Oracle Fusion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Candidate must pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment commencement.
