Our core business efforts span three major areas: 1) the delivery of high-impact energy efficiency programs; 2) workforce development and industry training; and 3) the design and development of systems that create, manage, and analyze energy efficiency data.The Director of Finance is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes within the organization. The Director will ensure the company's financial health and operational efficiency by developing and implementing robust financial models, conducting detailed variance analyses, and creating performance metrics and dashboards. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to align financial goals with organizational objectives, providing recommendations to enhance financial performance and support sustainable growth.
What will you do?
- Oversee the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators.
- Lead the development and implementation of performance management frameworks, including the creation and monitoring of financial metrics and dashboards.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of financial goals with organizational objectives.
- variance analysis and financial projections, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain robust data analytics capabilities to support financial decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Need to Have:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least five years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with performance management and financial analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
Nice to Have:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
This position will be out of either our Philadelphia or our Ithaca office. It is a hybrid position that includes 20-40% of time in the office and the remainder of time working remotely.
Physical Demands: Frequent use of the computer requiring periods of sitting and close audio-visual concentration. Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.?Work Environment: Office work is performed in an open and collaborative environment.?
