Your primary focus will be to utilize data-driven insights to optimize and promote the growth of our Company’s products or services in the African community in the diaspora. This role requires a strong community management, analytical mindset, creativity, and a passion for driving business growth through effective marketing campaigns. Preferably someone who is a Kenyan ImmigrantJob Responsibilities

  • Community Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for community growth, including setting objectives and selecting engagement platforms.
  • Develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee presence on social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and meaningful community engagement.
  • Platform Expertise: Possess sound knowledge of X, Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Industry Informed: Stay updated on industry trends, community management best practices, and emerging social media platforms/tools.
  • Moderation and Engagement: Monitor and moderate community conversations, ensuring constructive and respectful interactions.
  • Feedback Collection and Analysis: Gathering and analyzing social post analytics and community feedback to gain insights into community needs, preferences, trends and improvements.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Organising and hosting online or offline events such as webinars, meet-ups, or Q&A sessions to engage and bring the community together.
  • Manage negative feedback, resolve disputes, and maintain a positive brand reputation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to optimize user experiences and conversion funnels.
  • Brand Advocacy: Acting as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization's values and fostering a positive image among the community.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely

What you should have

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience driving growth or acquiring users among Kenyan immigrant communities in Canada
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and tactics, including social media, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Experience with A/B testing and  conversion rate optimization
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
