Scope:
Perform all radiological procedures as requested and as needed. Provides patient care and insures patient safety from radiation hazards.
Reports To:
Department Supervisor and Physicians
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assures all physician requests for services are rendered in a timely and professional manner.
- Assists in quality assurance monitoring.
- Assures all rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Cleans equipment after each patient
- Obtains prior mammogram films from outside facilities for comparison
- Makes sure that all necessary information is recorded properly.
- Answers all telephone calls
- Assists receptionist by scheduling patients for x-ray procedures and gives special instructions to patients as needed.
- Maintains annual compliance education.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and physicians.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Presents to work on time as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist preferred.
- Virginia license
- Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist preferred.
- CPR certification
