What the Job Looks Like
- Performs set-ups on production lines.
- Assist in identifying gaps in processes to help in the improvement of efficiencies.
- Assist mechanics with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, also coordinates with manager to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
- Effectively communicates between departments on the status of setups.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Installs replacement parts for machines.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Hours of WorkMonday- Friday, 7:00 – 3:30 or 3:30 – 12:00 AMImportant Qualifications to Your Success as the Setup Technician
- You are reliable.
- You have very strong attention to detail.
- You are a good team member, and you work well with varied personalities and styles.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills.
- You are mechanically inclined.
- You excel in problem-solving and prioritizing.
