As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our amazing team. Position Overview: As an Inside Sales Representative, you play a critical role in driving revenue, prospecting, developing your own pipeline of business and assisting the Strategic Account Executives in their pipeline development.
You will work closely with the Customer Support and Technical Support Teams to provide rapid, accurate responses to customer inquiries and questions, generating a high level of customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with marketing as a key resource in demand generating campaigns and activities. This position is a hybrid role. Must be Bay Area based and in-office 2-3 days per week.Key Job Responsibilities
- Qualify leads through email, phone calls, and social media using BANT (Budget, Authority, Needs, Timeline) methodology or another effective prospecting framework.
- Respond to all inbound customer inquiries in a timely fashion with detailed and complete information including technical information, quotations and other necessary items
- Conduct polished virtual discovery calls, presentations, and capability calls with decision makers, influencers, and multiple client stakeholders utilizing approved collateral.
- Document all activities (sales calls, client feedback, complaints) in SalesForce.Com
- Attain and exceed assigned revenue plan
- In conjunction with Sales Operations develop focal Inside Sales reports, Dashboards and metrics
- In conjunction with Sales Account Executives and marketing, execute outbound prospecting programs utilizing current tools and databases
- Assist with Technical Support to answer fundamental pre & post sales client questions
Requirements
- Commercial experience in selling and/or supporting service/products in the gene synthesis, gene editing market
- Technical knowledge of DNA synthesis, gene editing techniques and applications
- Degree in a biological science
- Ability to present DNA synthesis technology to clients
- Experienced and proactive in lead follow up and prospecting
- Demonstrated ability to qualify leads via email, video calls, social media using BANT methodology
- Proven ability to meet revenue targets, results oriented
- Demonstrated ability to support a field sales team and work in a collaborative environment
- Detail oriented and employs excellent organizational skills
- Deep familiarity with SalesForce.Com, prospecting tools, and databases
- Proven experience to work with Technical Support and Customer Service to solve client problems
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science along with training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job
- 5+ years of sales and/or support experience
- Highly prefer 3+ years of experience in the gene editing, synthetic biology, gene synthesis field

San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range
100k base salary with 50k incentive
