Job Summary:
Supports the customer data management efforts, primarily supporting data quality initiatives to drive accuracy, consistency, and completeness of enriched data within the content database.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads team of SQL developers & helps Project manager/DBA manager to liaison production activities and automation.
- Manages and maintains database grounded in defined standards relative to medical surgical devices and supplies to ensure data quality for the GHX customer base.
- Contributes to the development of standards, processes, and procedures that support Content Operations goals and objectives.
- Identifies opportunities/issues, defines, and manages continuous improvement projects for production.
- Help design/implement automation projects for process improvement/productivity.
- Troubleshoots and resolves performance issues by optimizing server performance and staying current with DB health,
- Coordinates and facilitates professional relationships with internal and external subject matter experts to serve as provider/supplier advocate in relation to medical product data quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Information Systems/Engineering, preferably in a healthcare-related discipline
- Graduates from Engineering/Diploma in engineering
- Candidates with at least 7-10 years of DBA experience in a KPO industry will be given preference.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must Have Skills:
- Experience leading small to midsize teams (3-7 DBAs)
- Well versed in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Extensive experience and robust knowledge in SQL and SSIS
- SQL experience for data querying and analysis with Data content management experience
- Should have excellent knowledge of creating PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Strong knowledge using MS Access/XLS, forms to create small tool kits for production team for data manipulation.
- Knowledge of data quality management, master data management in business/ITES environment.
- High degree of proficiency in MS Excel/MS Access
- Data handling/ETL i.e., retrieving, manipulating, checking, and migrating complex data.
Good to Have Skills:
- Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models.
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting various data sets
- Medical product and terminology knowledge preferred.
- Supply chain knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of VBA preferred.
- Project management skills
- Analytical ability to convert functional requirements to design & implementation of functionality for production teams.
- Excellent communicator & self-driven individual who can work with minimal supervision preferred.
