Who You Are:
Our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team transforms how Storyblocks makes strategic decisions by providing financial and operational context to our teams. We support business partners across the organization with insightful and accurate analysis to help the business understand the financial impact of real-time and long-term strategic decisions.As the Manager of FP&A, you’ll be responsible for continuing to build and refine the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to capture the growing complexity of the business.
You will act as a thought partner to cross-functional teams to drive the analysis of high-impact projects, manage department budgets, and optimize spend. This role reports to the VP of FP&A and will be based remotely, anywhere in the US.
What You Will Do:
- Lead Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting and reforecasting process for our eCommerce self-serve business, working with department heads and senior leadership to develop and track against topline forecasts & expense budgets.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review monthly accounting close to analyze and interpret actual financial performance versus plan to implement continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies; as well as maintaining monthly unit economics reporting and cohort retention analysis.
- Model Building and Maintenance: Build and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts to support short-term and long-term strategic planning.
- KPI Development: Develop & maintain KPI reporting to positively impact business performance and track growth initiatives.
- Communication and Reporting: Facilitate communication of goals/performance throughout the organization.
- Controls and Documentation: Establish and enhance controls, and improve documentation of assumptions used in reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Executive Support: Support the executive team in the production of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5+ years professional experience, including direct experience in an FP&A role preferably within a high-growth company
- Strong SaaS industry or similar recurring revenue-based industry experience preferred
- Exceptional financial modeling skills including high level expertise in Excel & Google Sheets and related applications
- Excellent proficiency with accounting and corporate finance including topics such as billing, revenue recognition, prepaids, accruals, and cash flows
- Interested in continuously learning and taking on new and varied responsibilities
- Familiarity with Netsuite preferred
- Bachelor's degree, similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience

For each title, we consistently apply competitive salary bands based on market data and benchmarks which are reviewed twice a year. What you’ve been paid before, fear of conflict, or willingness to negotiate does not play a part in determining your pay.
- The annual base salary range for this position is $127,000 - $135,000. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members. Total compensation for this position includes equity.
