By providing our suppliers and customers with streamlined services, they are able to focus on their core business.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Sales Leader, Polymers to oversee the distribution of branded polymers in Mexico.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly within the polymer industry, and possess exceptional strategic and managerial skills to drive business growth and expand market share in Mexico.Responsibilities:Market Strategy Development:

  • Develop a Go-to-Market strategy from scratch and implement comprehensive sales strategies to maximize the distribution of branded polymers across various industries in Mexico.
  • Develop relationships with key strategic suppliers as an alternative to market their product in the region.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and formulate effective market penetration strategies.

Sales Leadership:

  • Build up an organization and look for synergies with current other business unit structures.
  • Develop, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to sales representatives to ensure effective execution of sales plans and initiatives.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, customers, distributors, and partners to drive brand loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, provide customized solutions, and address any issues or concerns promptly.

New Business Development:

  • Drive the acquisition of new customers and business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building activities.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and collaborations to expand the company's presence and market reach in Mexico.
  • Develop the logistics needed to support the new operation and have a differentiated service in the market

Market Expansion:

  • Explore and evaluate new market segments, applications, and geographic regions for potential expansion of branded polymer distribution.
  • Develop market entry strategies and establish distribution channels to capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Explore any M&A opportunities in the region.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and actionable insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial personnel, operations, and finance, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Provide input and feedback on product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on market insights and customer feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience leading a commercial team with a proven track record of success within the polymer industry or related chemical sector.
  • Strong understanding of polymer products, applications, and market dynamics in Mexico.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving business growth and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, manage complex sales cycles, and negotiate contracts.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Mexico and occasionally internationally as needed.
  • Channels to market experience in MX is a plus.
