Overview:
WiredPeople invites applicants to join our growing team as a Wastewater Surveillance Epidemiologist to assist with Missouri's Wastewater Surveillance Program. Successful candidates posses strong data management and analysis skills.
Mondays and Tuesdays in office until proficiency approved then this can flip to be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Acquiring data from multiple sources and maintaining databases.
- Cleaning and analyzing data to identify trends or patterns in weekly time-sensitive wastewater datasets/results.
- Updating internal and public dashboards routinely each week.
- Interpretation of trends or patterns to inform decision-making.
- Collaboration with team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Continuous improvement of data management processes and analysis techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree (substitutions may be allowed).
- Possess strong data management and analysis skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Time management skills and possess the ability to work independently within program policy.
- Ability to use technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
- Must have home internet access.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience in statistical analysis and proficiency with statistical software (SAS, R, Python, or SQL)
- Experience with or ability to learn Tableau for data visualization.
- Experience with or ability to learn REDCap
