Management Consultant – Senior
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a Management Consultant - Senior with experience in health policy to work closely with and support Federal health and social services agency clients in the planning and implementation of major strategic and organizational transformation initiatives. Experience with or interest in Veteran’s Health Administration is a plus. Selected applicant will reside in the U.S. Prefer candidates in the Washington, D.C.
metro area. This is not an IT role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Management Consultant - Senior will be responsible for leading and managing projects to conceptualize, design, and develop a wide range of solutions, to include:
- Highly knowledgeable and experienced in the management of health systems, including program management and program implementation; communications/change management; budget analysis; and program analysis
- Significant knowledge of health policy
- Maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure and tracking progress to meet specific client requirements
- Coordinating with consultants and subcontractors providing supplemental support
- Determining the optimum mix of skills and modalities to meet client requirements
- Establishing project-specific templates and delivery standards
- Providing quality assurance for work products
- Effectively leading a project team
- Developing client briefing documents, reports, and presentations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Public Health, or similar degree
- 10-15 years professional work experience
- Experience with health policy
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Management Consulting supporting Health Care clients
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
- Experience interfacing with client, program manager and delivery team
- Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership and delegation ability
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitely
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Health Administration
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
