Duties and Role:
Under the direction of the project Technical Lead, the incumbent will provide technical support to OA, in particular perform duties such as:
- Update, refactor, and deploy existing solutions to end-users;
- Build reusable components to share among projects;
- Plan & execute greenfield projects;
- Assist Operational Analysts & Data Scientists/Engineers with UX problems;
- Implement web-based tools for ongoing projects and techniques to meet needs of the Agency and its customers;
- Support development and maintenance of data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Specific Working Conditions:
REACH laptop required. NS account required but no need for NS computer. Project Laptop to be provided by OAC. NATO Software Factory Account to be provided through OAC.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Fullstack Developer, proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript (including React).
The following are essential qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing UI components and logic for JavaScript- or TypeScript-based web applications and mobile applications, preferably using a React-based Framework.
- Demonstrable experience using the following in a project-based professional environment:
- React with back-end integration to Sql/NoSQL databases
- At least one meta-Framework such as NextJS, Sveltekit, or similar.
- Front-end design skills (with e.g. TailwindCSS or similar) development and deployment of end-user applications in an MS Azure environment, including containerization, orchestration, and deployment with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
Past Experience must include:
- Working in a DevOps environment, and adhering to DevOps best practices and using versioning such as Git
- Setting up unit & integration tests
- Experience with Cloud Computing
- Building reliable & scalable front-end applications
- Back-end experience (any language)
- Working in a multidisciplinary environment
- Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a relevant discipline
