- Handling of injury case litigation
- Taking depositions of claimants, physicians, medical experts, and other parties
- Conducting discovery
- Performing legal research
- Remaining current with developments in the law
- Drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents
- Representing the interests of the client at hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings
- Communicating with claims representatives
- Coordinating and attending claims reviews
- Negotiating settlements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to handle confidentiality and sensitive information
- Strong multi-tasking skills, upbeat and friendly professional disposition, excellent phone etiquette
- Self-motivated, organized, tenacious, unafraid of hard work, able to work without constant supervision
- Military member, veteran, spouse, dependent, or relative preferred
- A tip-of-the-spear mindset – capacity to relentlessly advance justice for the client
- Tech savvy – ability to work within various software programs, quick learner, ability to record files and data in document management software
Experience and Professional Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed attorney
- 5+ years of experience as a Personal Injury attorney
