When We All Vote/Civic Nation is seeking a web content firm or contractor to provide both expertise and execution in developing design, content, and strategy for the When We All Vote website and associated websites. For a sense of scale, the projects in this SOW could reasonably require 30-35 hours per week for completion. Interested prospects should have experience with and be proficient in WordPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and UX/UI design applications and software (e.g., Figma). The contract would run June through mid-November.

SCOPE OF WORK
- Identify new opportunities to leverage web assets to further our mission through conversations with staff.
- Ensure that the content on When We All Vote’s WordPress-based website is kept up to date and is timed with major moments on the voting calendar and programmatic campaigns.
- Develop and update programmatic and educational pages and support with the launch of new and developing workstreams of programming.
- Create customized partner pages for members of When We All Vote’s Culture of Democracy Collective in advance of their participation in major calendar moments.
- Support launching sweepstakes in collaboration with partners.
- Build and maintain the landing page for content hubs or digital asset management platforms to support major programmatic projects such as Party At the Polls.
- Ensure work product complies with the security standards of the larger Civic Nation web infrastructure.
COMPENSATION & EXPENSES
In your letter of interest, please include the expected compensation for the above scope of work and a justification for this amount. Be as detailed as possible to help us understand your expectations and how they correlate with your experience and the value you bring.
APPLICATION PROCESS AND TIMELINE
Proposals should include a bio or resume and letter of interest in addition to compensation expectations. Letters of interest should be directed to Kathryn Montiegel (Civic Nation Director of Web Strategy & Development) and Emma Welsh-Huggins (When We All Vote Director of Mobilization).Including a link to a website or sample of existing work that is relevant to the above scope is highly encouraged. We anticipate this work to begin no later than July 8th, 2024.
EVALUATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis depending on time and date of submission.Proposals will be reviewed by a 4-person committee of When We All Vote and Civic Nation staff using a standardized rubric assessing strength along the following attributes. Interviews may be requested for final applicant selection.
- Applicant alignment with the stated qualifications (ascertained through the letter of interest, resume, and work sample if provided).
- Budget - the combination of feasibility, alignment to our project needs, and cost effectiveness.
- Enthusiasm for the project and dedication to When We All Vote’s mission to change the culture around voting, increase participation in each and every election, and close the race and age voting gap.
