Your impact


The Director of Field Operations will play a crucial role in building our Construction Management business within Truehold by creating the standards, quality control process, training program and strategic partnerships to ensure our residents benefit from industry leading renovations and construction work. This role requires field expertise managing Turns & Renovation work within a rapidly expanding portfolio of Single Family Rental (SFR) assets.Location: Preference for someone located in one of our current markets. 

You’ll own


  • Improve our Home Condition Standards documentation, and develop a Tiered Finishing system to ensure our homes finishes are aligned with our rental rate targets
  • This work will always be evolving as we expand into new markets, offer unique products and add sophistication to the platform
  • Design, build and lead our training program for field employees in order to ensure the entire team is aligned on how to approach completing work in our portfolio
  • Create a best-in-class Vendor Management Program to ensure we have capacity to complete our pipeline of projects in a compliant way, that rewards vendors for quality, speed, and price
  • Bolster this vendor management program by building a system to track our partners, compliance related activities, and ensure we have the capacity required to address our growing construction needs
  •  Work cross functionally with leadership, product and engineering teams to optimize our technology strategy focused on building efficient construction and field management functions
  •  Roll up your sleeves and monitor quality control of our finished projects, project management processes, and third party vendors

You bring


  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Management, Homebuilding and overseeing Turns and Renovations
  • 5+ years within a Single Family Rental (SFR) investment firm
  • Established track record of scaling a national Construction Management team both in market and at the corporate level
  • Results oriented P&L management with a focus on driving revenue and improving margins
  • Proven track record of bringing cost effective solutions to a growing business 
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter with proven experience leading multiple projects at once, eagerness to take ownership and independently drive projects to completion
  • Experience with data analytics strongly preferred
