This position will offer a hybrid work arrangement and will report to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of inventory accounting, including receiving, recording, and reconciling deliveries and withdrawals.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor trends and analyze variances to identify potential issues or opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports inventory levels, usage, and valuation for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to optimize inventory management processes and controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related inventory accounting and reporting.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in industry specific inventory management and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations.
- Implements Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting.
Experience & QualificationsThis role will interface with senior management, FP&A, risk, treasury, human resources, external consultants, and the commercial trading team, each with members globally. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA required.
- Minimum 2-4 years' audit experience at a mid to large CPA firm
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (JD Edwards and Oracle BI Enterprise Edition a plus)
