Responsibilities
- The Accounts Payable Coordinator ensures AMT’s invoices are processed and paid timely and accurately.
- Facilitate payments to suppliers and vendors - reviewing invoices for accuracy and resolving discrepancies, obtaining approvals from managers, entering vouchers to appropriate projects and accounts, ensuring timely payments are made
- Review and process Expense Reports – reconcile expenses to ensure compliance with company policy; ensure proper documentation is provided and correct GL accounts are supports are used.
- Reconcile accounts payable and other subledgers with the GL to ensure compliance with GAAP and FAR regulations
- Set up/maintain Vendor database in Vision – Collect/verify W-9s and Certificate of Insurance
- Managing !AP inbox - Respond and follow up with internal and external inquiries.
- Prepare and file Form-1099
- Assist with year-end financial audit including preparation of reports and supporting documents.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 1-3 years of Accounting/Accounts Payable experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting procedures as well as GAAP/FAR job costing
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy - ability to work with and manage confidential data is required.
- Excellent attention to details and accuracy needed.
- Excellent organization, prioritizing, communication, and problem-solving skills a must.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Deltek Vision preferred.
- REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or bookkeeping field; Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certificate a Plus. Maybe substituted for a combination of education and equivalent experience in accounting/office administration field.
