We are seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist with extensive experience in Electronic Maintenance Support Systems (EMSS) to support the United States Marine Corps. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Marine Corps operations, preferably as a veteran, and a strong background in developing and delivering training programs tailored to EMSS.
Responsibilities
- Create and present training programs using various instructional techniques such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures tailored specifically to EMSS in Marine Corps settings.
- Obtain, organize, and develop comprehensive training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials, including handouts and visual aids focused on EMSS.
- Assess and optimize training delivery modes (in-person or virtual) to maximize effectiveness, reduce costs, and consider environmental impacts in Marine Corps environments.
- Offer specific EMSS training programs to help Marine Corps personnel maintain and enhance their technical job skills.
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments through surveys, interviews with Marine Corps personnel, focus groups, and consultations with Marine Corps managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates through telephone, written form, email, or in-person to provide critical training information.
- Identify educational needs, develop formal EMSS training programs, and instruct Marine Corps personnel. Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance knowledge and skills in EMSS.
- Establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with Marine Corps personnel to ensure continuous improvement in training programs.
- Coordinate all aspects of training activities within the Marine Corps, ensuring alignment with operational requirements and strategic goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, instructors, and materials, focusing on continuous improvement and alignment with Marine Corps standards.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for EMSS, and measurement of training effects.
- Expertise in providing exceptional service, assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction within the Marine Corps framework.
- Knowledge of personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and personnel information systems specific to Marine Corps operations.
- Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources within a military context
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related Training discipline.
- 10+ years of professional experience in curriculum/training development specific to Electronic Maintenance Support Systems (EMSS) supporting Marine Corps requirements.
- Marine Corps experience preferred (veteran).
