We are currently seeking a Task Coordinator with 2+ years of experience in the emergency management and/or homeland security field to join our team and fully embrace our commitment to deliver, grow and thrive. About the Role:As a Federal Communications Task Coordinator supporting our Federal government client,you will be trusted to provide program management support with responsibilities spanning: critical project tasks; stakeholder outreach and engagement; process improvement; analysis of project data to drive solutions; and report writing. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of task and project performance (i.e., technical, contractual, administrative, financial)
  • Quickly establishing and fostering positive rapport with federal government clients and public safety stakeholders in a professional, creative environment
  • Analyzing new and complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project
  • Providing applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated and diverse consulting team and encourage creative solutions 
  • Supporting strategic program and project management initiatives as directed by the Project Lead
  • Conducting legislative and policy analysis as needed 
  • Identifying efficiencies or tools to improve existing/new organizational processes
  • Facilitating and coordinating internal meetings from start to finish; train and administer tasks to junior consultants 
  • Ability to multi-task with competing priorities 
  • Evolving into a subject matter expert in public safety communications and related emerging technologies 
  • Spearheading ‘action planning’ and implement new, creative initiatives

Location:You will work remotely, and occasionally at the client-site in metro-accessible Washington, DC.Required Experience/Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of professional experience in program and task management
  • Previous experience with public safety stakeholder engagement and/or legislative/policy analysis 
  • Direct experience working on a daily basis to advise senior level clients
  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate complex information into manageable pieces
  • Receptive to all forms of feedback from clients and colleagues, and proactive to make changes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
  • Skilled in problem solving with a flexible approach towards stakeholders 
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
