We are Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults and children with autism and other disabilities.The Janitor will maintain the cleanliness of the Stamford Learning Academy and any other location as needed.Hours: M-F 10:30a-4:30pSalary: $30,000 - $40,000
Responsibilities
- Perform large scale cleaning projects such as cleaning floors, washing walls, windows and glass partitions, and removing rubbish
- Daily vacuuming of entrance/exit mats, floors and daily disinfecting of required spaces to include the wipe-down of table tops and doorknobs
- Breakdown any boxes and removing them to the dumpster
- Regularly sweep and mop hallways, stairwells and gymnasium
- Ensures bathrooms are clean, in working order and have required supplies
- Ensure there is sufficient supplies for the program(s) to include: paper towels, toilet papers, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, various Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ensure air condition filters are replaced quarterly and overhead vents are free of debris
Our Ideal Candidate
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of similar work experience
- Experience working around individuals with special needs preferred
