Our mission is to accelerate business outcomes and career growth through more effective learning experiences.Position: Director of Business DevelopmentLocation: Troy, MI (Hybrid)Reports to: PresidentPosition Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to spearhead sales efforts for our DRIVE-X software platform and FUEL professional services.

This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound sales leads, developing and executing strategic outbound email campaigns, and supporting the entire sales process from initial contact to closing. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in B2B software sales. While experience in the learning and development industry is a significant advantage, we are open to candidates with transferable skills and a passion for driving sales.Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
  • Effectively manage inbound sales leads and maintain robust pipelines through partnership with our Sales Development Representative (SDR) partner.
  • Design and execute targeted outbound email campaigns using Hubspot to attract and convert new leads.

  • Sales Process Management:
  • Qualify and engage leads, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and guide the sales process through to contract finalization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant procurement departments to increase exposure to RFP opportunities.
  • Track and report on critical sales metrics, including lead conversion, pipeline progression, and revenue performance.
  • Build and execute on our Sales Playbook and Sales Training materials

  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and strategies to optimize performance and achieve revenue targets.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in B2B software sales, preferably in the learning and development industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnel management and lead qualification techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using Hubspot CRM and sales automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning technology and a desire to drive innovation in corporate training.
