Main Purpose:
We are seeking a full-time Marketing and Communication Specialist in our Houma, LA location. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with management, business development, and operations to design, develop, and create compelling presentations, proposals, and market materials. Responsibilities will also include, among other things, enhancing our brand presence and ensuring consistency in brand messaging, managing website content, and messaging on social media platforms, preparing company newsletters, assisting with other internal communications, and preparing content for e-customers and trade shows.The position will report to the Senior Vice President of Commercial.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure continuity and successful delivery of functional graphic services to all employees throughout the organization.
- Manage the delivery of information and corporate communications to key stakeholders.
- Utilize various channels to deliver content (blogs, digital marketing, brochures, executive briefings, articles, talking points, video blogs, social media, etc.) to communicate company information.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences with data-driven insights to refine marketing campaigns.
- Maintain strong knowledge across all service lines.
- Create engaging social posts, monitor comments, and manage company social media platforms.
- Assist with organizing industry events, conferences, trade shows, and customer and community events, including booth design, promotional materials, and presentation content.
- Draft and edit written communications.
- Partner with departments across the company to understand and stay abreast of significant projects and activities.
- Share creative and innovative ideas to ensure messaging and events are engaging, memorable, and tailored to the project or client’s goals.
- Develop, maintain, and provide a marketing presentation portfolio for consistent and current messaging.
- Ensure consistency in the company’s marketing and branding messaging and presentation materials.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage the document and photo library.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- May be required to travel up to 20% of the time.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Desirable Experience & Education, and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the position's essential functions.
- Experience in marketing (including digital marketing), presentations, and social media in the oil and gas industry.
- At least 3 years of marketing experience.
Tools, Equipment, and Technology:
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, and web content applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, team-oriented, multi-tasker, and self-starter.
- Able to prioritize and work proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
