Link Solutions is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team in Ft. Novosel, AL.

As a Network Administrator will support NETCOM (U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command Center) and be responsible for managing and maintaining critical communication networks. You will oversee the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. Ensuring network availability, security, and optimal performance is your priority.The Network Administrator will play a vital role in managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government information assets.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier II-III network/desktop support.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
- Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.
- Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
- Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
- Support the development and delivery of training sessions to ensure staff understand network resources.
- Diagnose and resolve network-related problems promptly.
- Collaborating with other IT professionals to troubleshoot complex issues is essential.
- Implement security protocols and access controls.
- Monitor network traffic to safeguard against cyber threats.

Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen.
- DoD Secret Security Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts or three (3+) years of relevant experience in place of degree requirement.
- Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA-Junos) or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, and remote desktop (Citrix).
- Microsoft or related certification.
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Brocade Certified Professional.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
