Information Technology Strategies, INC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Jr. Tier 2 Help Support Specialist to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Client Agency is U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
- Will provide analytical programming support on projects requiring identification, selection, set up, operation, training, and system administration of business intelligence and data analytics products and dashboards. Will develop analytical modeling using tools and technologies used by DHS for developing operational and process models. Will assist with Analysis of Alternatives to document analytical portions of Alternatives Analyses (AA) and Analyses of Alternatives (AoA) plans and using evaluation of the operational effectiveness, operational suitability, and operational risk to support assessments of viable alternatives. Will provide Systems Analysis Support: Expertise in systems analysis of DHS’ organizations, processes, procedures, architectures, and materiel that helps allow DHS to create new systems, modify existing systems, expand systems, and document existing systems to increase their efficiency and effectiveness as well as effectively communicate these analyses to senior leadership. Will assist with Privacy Threshold Analyses; System of Records Notices; Privacy Impact Assessments; and Privacy Act statements to analyze new or proposed changes to existing technology, sharing agreements, and programs to identify privacy risks and provide possible mitigation strategies. Will assist with assessments and analyses of projects and studies that require analysis of interrelated issues such as legal compliance, policy compliance, and regulatory compliance. Will Gather all relevant information concerning systems collecting personally identifiable information by DHS and its components to determine which compliance documentation is required. Will coordinate efforts of components and officers, project managers, and staff to complete individual assessments, analyses, and other related projects. Will assist with the preparation of guidance for compliance procedures and operations and assist with the development of new procedures and guidance dealing with the applicability and impact on privacy of current and developing technologies. Will assist with the planning and manage education and outreach efforts consistent with Department and CBP Privacy Office policies and relevant laws. Will track and ensure projects are completed accurately and appropriately with multiple stakeholders. Will participate in review meetings and analyze documents and other materials during the privacy compliance reviews. Will draft and edit documentation such as meeting notes, assessment findings, and reports, both during and following the review process.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Must have a B.A. or B.S. degree
- Must have 3+ years of experience in federal privacy compliance.
- Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have 3+ years of experience in a related field (technical support, help desk support, call center, or etc.).
- Must be available to work night, weekends, and holidays to support the Operational Mission.
Preferences:
- An A.S. Degree in a related field.
