Job Summary:


The Senior Accountant role will undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. This is a hands-on role within a lean team.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Preparing and consolidating financial statements and reports.
  • Enhance automation to deliver more efficient and timely invoicing.
  • Supporting the formulation and implementation of control systems within the organization.
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
  • Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Preparing and managing accounts using various software programs.
  • Preparing and assisting with audits.
  • Assist with Sales Tax compliance

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Experience working with and manipulating large data sets to streamline reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. NetSuite)
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Education and Experience:


  • Proven experience as accounting manager or other similar position
  • 5+ years of Corporate Accounting experience
  • BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:


  • Prolonged periods of being at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May work from home or in ScriptDrop’s corporate office
  • Must be able to communicate with customers and team members effectively
