If that sounds inspiring to you, let’s get in touch!Job purposeWe are looking for a Senior GL & AR Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our company's financial management and support our growing business. In this role, you will be in charge of the invoicing process from issuing the invoice to cash collection. This position is key to maintaining a positive relationship with customers while optimizing cash flow. The person will also own and deliver core accounting activities for some of our subsidiaries across 9 countries, including reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. You will ensure smooth and correct transactions and process according to calendar or upon request but you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the operations and commercial teams to further develop our financial processes as the company grows internationally. Duties and responsibilitiesAs a Senior GL& AR Accountant, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Review and analyze financial reports that are prepared by external accountants in the subsidiaries
- Leading the initiative to insource the bookkeeping processes for all our subsidiaries
- Overseeing the entire Accounts Receivable (AR) process, from issuing invoices to managing collections, to ensure timely and efficient cash flow management for the entire group
- Documenting financial processes and workflows
- Maintaining accurate and complete records, including invoices, receipts and other documents
- Preparing ad hoc reports on revenue, AR and expenses
Must have
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a similar degree
- Considerable work experience in the accounting area, ideally 3-4 years in AR and/of GL.
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Team player with experience in an international environment
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English
- Analytical approach to problem solving and attention to detail
- Driven, independent, open-minded and flexible
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems and accounting tools and system
