Our flagship Trade Up product enables consumers to buy their next home without a sale contingency before they’ve sold their current home. The company recently closed on a Series C equity funding round and is looking for a Controller to manage its financial and administrative functions. About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team and oversee accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
The Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.
- GL, AP, and AR
- Cash flow and treasury management
- Tax, regulatory and investor compliance
- GAAP and management financial reporting
Preferred QualificationsOur ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably in the mortgage industry
- Prior experience at start-ups or high growth companies
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Ramp, and Bill.com
- Proven track record of leading financial operations, implementing internal controls, and driving process improvements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
