Job Summary:


Bear Robotics is a leading industry manufacturer of AI-driven autonomous robots. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Bear Robotics’ growth strategy. This person will have the opportunity to help build out the Business Development Department in Europe. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This position requires a dynamic person with a proven track record in business development within the robotics/technology or hospitality industry.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Focus on current partnerships/building new partnerships and understanding what the organizations are looking to achieve to help grow the accounts.
  • Evaluate and improve business models including sales strategy and pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's business development strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for business expansion within the hospitality industry.
  • Interface Product/Engineering team to align product launch and sales & operations.
  • Lead negotiations and execute agreements with potential partners, customers, and collaborators, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Work closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers, expansion of existing accounts, and the development of innovative sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, marketing, finance and operations, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
  • Create KPIs/metrics tracking to monitor and ensure the success of the department.
  • Build short- and long-term roadmaps to reaching key objectives in the first 90 days of employment and communicate progress to key executives within the company.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:


  • Ability to develop new business relationships and drive strategies to grow those relationships.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve Bear’s current go-to-market business models (inclusive of present sales and pricing strategy) for EMEA.
  • Business partnership management experience (on the Enterprise side.)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills to lead discussions with internal and external executives.
  • Market research and insights gleaned from customer relationships, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally within Bear to affect impact for our product, engineering, finance, and sales ops teams to leverage.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while remaining focused on long-term objectives.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and motivating a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability in building, managing, and scaling sales operations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust/credibility with existing and potential customers.
  • Commitment to ethical business practices and integrity.

Preferred Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:


  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • High self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of successful experience in business development within the hospitality industry.
  • B2B Sales experience.
