pinegaterenewables.com. Pine Gate is growing and needs your help building world class power plants.  As the Project Manager, you will manage contract requirements, client relations, and project deliverable requirements. You will establish and monitor performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles, and cost performance of the project by aiding in the development of company systems and best practices.This position is responsible for supporting the execution of day-to-day operational aspects of multiple large-scale solar projects, supporting the management of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) contracts. 

What You’ll Do


  • Primary lead on all commercial aspects of each project. Each project may require multiple contracts, such as solar EPC, substation EPC, equipment procurement (modules, GSU, etc.), interconnection, etc. 
  • Coordinate and lead negotiation of project specific contracts, drawing support from other departments and management, as needed.
  • Close management and reporting of project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Review Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans.
  • Ensure contractors are meeting safety standards and are regularly conducting related inspections and reporting.
  • Monitor and manage costs.
  • Perform internal and external stakeholder management.
  • Perform all project communications and reporting.
  • Engage In client and community relations.
  • Evaluate current project management standards and practices and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage key project team members, in concert with their respective functional managers, regarding project related activities and issues, for example, Project Engineer, Project Buyer, Site Manager, etc.

Must-Haves


  • 5-10 years of experience in project management and/or construction management of large-scale projects or programs
  • 3 years of experience in project management and construction of large-scale projects or programs
  • Basics in negotiation of contracts
  • Proficiency in reading utility-scale solar design plans and equipment specifications
  • An understanding of major electrical equipment such as switchgear, VAR systems, reclosers, and MV transformers
  • Knowledge about PV solar equipment including PV modules, combiner boxes, solar trackers, inverters, DAS/SCADA equipment, communications hardware, meteorological sensors, etc.
  • Required software: Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication

Education and Certifications 


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree

Working Environment and Physical Demand 


  • Ability to travel; between 10-30%
