Link Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Lead to join our team in Frederick, MD.

The Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Lead is a vital role that involves the strategic oversight and enhancement of the telecommunications systems crucial to the performance and functionality of the telecommunications systems in support of the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) on Ft. Detrick.This role involves overseeing the integration and functionality of communication networks, supervision of system operations, and implementation of advanced technological solutions to meet the evolving needs of the mission.
The Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Leader will be responsible for advancing the objectives of the NEC. As a key member of Link Solutions, you will leverage cutting-edge technology and communication systems to advance our client’s goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information and telecommunication systems operations.
- Oversee an experienced team in the management and support of enterprise-level infrastructure.
- Work with government customers to identify needs or opportunities for improvement.
- Plan and implement large-scale projects with no impact on daily operations.
- Provide oversight for activities including technical support, and telecommunications.
- Provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing tools and technologies.
- Provide planning, quality assurance, and control support (QA/QC).
- Ensure assigned tickets are addressed.
- Lead a team of technicians to install, operate, and maintain the copper, fiber, and coaxial infrastructure.
- Design and document new and/or updated inside and outside plant cable infrastructure to include conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, and fiber optics.
- Maintenance of telephone poles, manholes, handholds, and outside terminals.
- Install, maintain, repair, and test multiple-conductor aerial, underground, and buried communications cable to include coaxial, fiber optics, and copper/conventional cable.
- Provide cable audits of manholes, hand-holes, pedestals, communications closets, MDF, IDF.

Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Five (7+) years experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation.
- Three (3+) years in a supervisory or lead position.
- Knowledge and experience of BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
- Experience developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, and telecommunications systems.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
- Project Management experience (PMP/PMI CE)
- Knowledge of Avaya CM-6 Switches.
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer(RCDD) certification.
- Knowledge of TMS I3A and UFC guidelines
- Knowledge of TIA/EIA 568 Commercial Building Cabling Standards.
- Knowledge of ISP, OSP, ITS, and Land Mobile Radio technologies.
- Familiar with C4IM standards, services, and requirements.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
