To date, Uphold has facilitated over 120 million transactions worth $40 billion, serving 10 million customers across 150+ countries.Uphold strips away the complexity and lack of transparency to open up Web3 finance for everyone.To learn more about Uphold, please visit https://uphold.com.The opportunity: Uphold is looking for talented and motivated software engineers in the making with a keen interest in the Quality Assurance field to join us for a Summer Internship at the core of our QA Team at Uphold.This is an incredibly exciting opportunity where you’ll get to work on a project side by side with a team of Quality Assurers that are passionate about QA with a great sense of collaboration and responsibility.Primary responsibilities:Uphold Summer Internship provides you a first experience in the job market, and provides insight into Uphold's processes and work dynamics, designed for students and recent graduates.As a summer intern at Uphold, you will be challenged to pursue a small project from start to end on your own, while having proper guidance and support along the way.
We’ll work with you to define the project: we’ll get to know you a little bit, understand what challenges you prefer and better fit you before we kick it off. This is what it looks like:
- 8 weeks duration, starting in July, ending in September, flexible timeline.
- Participation will be on-site, remote or both.
- You’ll get some awesome Uphold Swag on your first day :)
- You’ll have a mentor who will be responsible for providing orientation and supervision.
- You’ll be assigned a buddy who can help you get acclimated to Uphold, adjust more quickly, and help you throughout this period.
- Uphold will provide you with a laptop during the length of your collaboration with us.
- If the internship is successfully completed, you’ll be entitled to a compensation up to EUR 2,000!
Required qualifications:
- Ongoing Academic studies or Degree, preferred in engineering, computer science, or information systems.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Good communication skills, both orally and written.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with Qase Test Management tool.
- Familiarity with methodologies/best practices such as the GitHub Flow, Test Driven Development, Code Coverage, Continuous Testing & Integration.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
- Fluency in cryptocurrencies or other digital assets as they are core to our business.
- Community talks, certifications, and/or blog posts on your interests and research.
- Open source project contributions of any kind, such as tools developed to solve specific problems you’ve had or fixing issues on existing projects.
