Barbaricum is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide support to the Maneuver, Surveillance and Engagement Division based out of the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane. Specifically, this individual will support NSWC via II MEF at Camp Lejeune, NC.
This individual will work as part of a larger contract team supporting engineering, technical, and program support for software engineering and cyber engineering for expeditionary systems and product lines for the NSWC customer. This will include design, development, system integration, sensor and data fusion, data management, data mining, production, information assurance/cybersecurity, installation, rapid prototyping, Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Configuration Management, and sustainment for Information Technology and software-centric systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to II MEF personnel regarding readiness, capabilities, maintenance, and deployment of equipment.
- Travel daily to Marine Corps units around II MEF to provide on-site support for EMSS and VADS systems which support diagnostic maintenance for Motor-Transport, Engineering, and Ordnance vehicles and equipment.
- Assist in the resolution of help desk trouble tickets with the assistance of NSWC-Crane-based help desk FSR.
- Work as part of a two-person FSR team located at II MEF.
- Occasional travel required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience in systems administration
- Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
- Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification required
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems is required
- Familiarity with Marine Corps structure and culture required
- Secret Clearance Required
