OVERALL PURPOSE
We are looking for a skilled and highly-motivated Marketing Analyst to join our growth marketing team, with a focus on enhancing our marketing activities, increasing ROI and accelerating growth. As the Marketing Analyst, drawing on your past experience and expertise, you will be primarily responsible for analysing data to provide actionable insights that drive marketing strategies and tactics. You will work in collaboration with the marketing Data Scientist and other key stakeholders within the marketing team and broader business to analyse performance of marketing campaigns, customer segmentation, marketing trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
This role reports to the Head of Growth Marketing.This role will be based in Cape Town and will be hybrid.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Utilising MixPanel as well as other analytical and ad platform tools to analyse campaign performance and providing insights on customer behavior
- Generating reports and dashboards to track marketing targets and KPIs
- Conducting market research and competitor analyses
- Providing actionable insights and recommendations from analyses conducted to inform optimisations, increase ROI and lower CAC
- Identifying trends and opportunities from analyses conducted, effectively communicating these with key stakeholders, collaborating with stakeholders to support the implementation of these, and measuring and reporting on the results of such efforts
- Supporting the growth marketing function and broader marketing team with ad hoc data requirements for strategy planning and other decision-making
- Working closely with the marketing data scientist to support on various initiatives

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A minimum of 4 years experience as an analyst
- At least 2 years experience working with marketing teams
- Financial Services/Fintech industry and B2B experience (strongly preferred)
- Proven experience working with marketing teams in an analyst capacity to drive optimised performance and contribute to growthStrong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, MixPanel)
- At least 2 years of experience with PostgreSQL and MSSQL
- Good understanding of marketing principles and metrics
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
