If you're ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.As the Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, you will be responsible for building, evaluating and managing Airwallex’s key financial partnerships amongst our local payment providers across EMEA and beyond with the goal to deepen Airwallex’s product capabilities in the region, as well as enable Airwallex to launch in new markets.You will support the Financial Partnerships team in scoping, establishing, negotiating, implementing, and operationalising complex partnership engagements.
In doing so, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership across internal teams, including Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Strategy, Finance and Operations.This role will be the bridge between financial partners and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes for the company.
The ideal candidate:
A partnerships expert with experience in the payments industry, preferably having managed relationships with financial partners, including local payment providers such as e-wallets and buy now pay later (BNPL) companies. You have experience working in both big organizations as well as fast-growing startups, and hence have knowledge and experience around putting in place processes and structure, while remaining flexible and creative in ensuring they are effective and relevant for the business. You are resourceful, action-oriented, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.We’re looking for someone who can thrive under pressure and enjoys managing multiple stakeholders, internally and externally, to drive towards a desired outcome.
Skills and experience:
At least 8 years of experience in a similar role in fintech / technology or top-tier management strategy/management consulting
Experience in the payments industry, preferably in creating partnerships with local payment providers
Experience in commercial negotiation and partnership sourcing and management
Excellent written, verbal and in-person communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently
Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and thrives under pressure
