Position overview
The Head of Content Marketing, reporting into the VP of Marketing, will play a crucial role in developing and executing Xapo Bank’s content strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and ultimately, conversions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives and brand positioning.
- Lead SEO efforts to increase visibility and organic search rankings, collaborating closely with web developers.
- Manage content production across various formats including blogs, white papers, video, and social media, ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience.
- Oversee the editorial calendar and ensure content is scheduled, produced, and published in a timely manner.
- Analyze content marketing data and SEO performance to continually refine strategies and tactics, maximizing effectiveness and ROI.
- Own the content and design for Xapo Bank's website
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, PR, and digital marketing, to create synergies and leverage content across all channels.
- Lead and expand the content marketing team, nurturing talent and developing skills to meet evolving market and organizational demands.
- Foster relationships with key influencers, thought leaders, and external partners to amplify outreach and content distribution efforts.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure that our content is ahead of the curve.
Skills needed
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role spanning content and organic marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in content marketing and SEO, with a strong track record of enhancing organic search and engagement.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data to make informed content decisions.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen understanding of what resonates with target audiences.
- Experience with content management systems, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs), and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
