You will join the team bringing AI to assist restaurant employees on the front line. Employee Assist helps answer questions and train employees, whether through voice AI only or through tablets. It is easy to extend through standard or custom extensions. The Engineering Manager for Employee Assist will lead the software development and continuous improvement of our Employee Assist product within a cross-functional team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, and implementing full-stack solutions for our Voice AI products.
- Foster an environment conducive to innovation and high performance, ensuring projects align with technical specifications and business objectives.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define feature specifications and deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from planning and prioritization to testing and release.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting their growth and career aspirations.

- You have a proven track record of successful software development and team leadership.
- You possess a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies and have experience with scalable cloud-based platforms.
- You are adept at problem-solving and strategic thinking and passionate about technology-driven business solutions.
We’d be especially excited if you have experience with web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, ClojureScript, …) and frameworks (React, vue.js, node.js, …) or bring a background in Agile methodologies and a knack for driving efficiency and innovation within tech teams.This role is available throughout Canada. Employees within a 100-kilometer radius of our Toronto office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration.
