Description:
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all client requirements are met through effective and efficient order processing and following through with clients and appropriate departments (Credit, Accounting, Supply Chain, and Transportation). The coordinator also promotes sales initiatives through effective communication and developing strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Receive and process client orders from receipt to invoice through all phases of the system. Expediting the process if necessary.
- Understand and communicate the client's needs as the key contact for clients, sales, and other internal teams.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships to effectively meet client requirements. Ensure client requirements are met for all orders by monitoring orders, requests, and product movement.
- Investigate and resolve client problems and claims.
- Coordinate product returns with clients, sales, and supply chain.
- Coordinate supply commitments during times of short supply or volatile market conditions.
- Support account managers with client updates, debits, credits, and requests for product samples, as well as setting up new accounts.
- Assist in the verification and investigation of pricing disputes.
- Work in a team environment and provide help and backup support as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related study.
- 10+ years of experience in customer service, sales, and or logistics.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where accuracy and follow-up are essential to success.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships within a cross-functional work environment at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working on process improvement projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving analysis and innovative resolution skills.
- Ability to analyze business processes and effect changes to meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Experience and proficiency with SAP, Excel, and the entire Microsoft Office suite.
