Red Carrot is seeking a Human Resource (HR) Generalist to join a corporate team. As the HR Generalist, you will provide broad knowledge of human resources disciplines and functions while you coordinate recruitment and onboarding, employee management, training opportunities, and company culture initiatives.
This position will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise. You will be an essential contributor to a diverse and growing team. The person must be based in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, DC, or Texas.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service and support to employees
- Provide guidance regarding the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies and procedures while keeping abreast of current employment law compliance/concerns
- Monitor and oversee time and attendance and payroll
- Oversee and coordinate tax updates implementation including issuance of W-2 forms, end-of-year processing activities and quarterly 941 forms
- Lead talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Develop job requisitions and posts on job hiring platforms
- Lead resume/application review and interview scheduling
- Interview job applicants and verify background information
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Coordinate Employee Performance management including evaluations and reviews
- Oversee internal onboarding processing
- Provide internal customer service support to employees in various HR-related topics
- Assist in development and implementation of HR policies
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic form
- Oversee compensation and benefit plans
- Lead the development and implementation of a various culture and wellness related programs
- Develop and implement HR business processes based on best practices
- To work on other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
- 5+ years human resources specific experience
- SHRM Membership a plus
- Experience with public sector services a plus
- Able to always practice discretion and confidentiality
- Superior Interpersonal Skills
- Knowledge/experience in business training and curriculum development
- Advanced planning/organizing ability and experience
- Communicate clearly and effectively to all stakeholders with a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Work on other duties as assigned
