- Monitoring: Continuously monitor the platform's performance, availability, and reliability using monitoring tools and systems.
- Alert Response: Respond to alerts and notifications promptly, investigating and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to the platform, working with other teams if necessary to resolve complex problems.
- Incident Management: Manage and resolve incidents, documenting the root cause and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Automation: Maintain automated processes for monitoring, alerting, and incident response to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation related to monitoring processes, troubleshooting procedures, and system configurations.
- Compliance: Ensure that monitoring practices comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong writing skills including the ability to use technical tools.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and end-users.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Ownership of problem management and IT projects.
- IT-security focused.
- System administration in Linux.
- Understanding network concepts, protocols, and configurations.
- Experience with cloud computing, such as AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools.
- Database management - Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL.
- Proficiency in AWS.
