Summary/Objective
The purpose of this position is to handle day-to-day shipping and receiving responsibilities, surface level functionality testing, and maintaining/ organizing the Engineering lab and warehouse. This compensation for this entry-level position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour and is based on a 40 hour work week.
Essential Functions
- Shipping
- Prepare shipments
- Domesticparcel and freight
- International parcel
- Determine the most economical and efficient shipping method
- Packaging fragile equipment for safe delivery
- Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Package and process outgoing overnight items, i.e. Federal Express, UPS, etc., to meet client and vendor deadlines. Log and deliver incoming overnight packages within established time frames.
- Log outgoing and incoming items as required and review for accuracy/completeness
- Facilities Maintenance
- Keep lab and warehouse areas clean, maintained and organized
- Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming mail & packages according to assigned floors and within established time frames. Wrap, seal, weigh, affix postage and dispatch all outgoing mail/packages in accordance with postal regulations.
- Functionality Testing of outgoing samples
- Ensure samples are fully functional and with up-to-date firmware
- Customer Returns
- Surface level triage of defects
- Log and document returned product
- Assist Engineers and techs as needed
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Knowledge of standard shipping and receiving
- Base level knowledge of consumer electronics and troubleshooting
Additional Requirements and Working Conditions
- Operate dolly for loading and unloading of supplies and equipment
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Standing or walking for more than minimum of 4 hours per day
