- The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the activities of the development test lab, to include ensuring all instrumentation is calibrated properly, performing testing, and scheduling of testing.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule calibration of assets by requesting quotes from vendors
- Analyze and maintain calibration documentation for assets
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenanceon lab instrumentation
- Proficient withcalibration databases
- Evaluate and recommend improved testing methods
- Perform routine development testing includinggauge R & Rs and preliminary testing
- Communicate with clients and work to solve any problems
- Familiarity products and be able to identify defects
- Compile test data, analyze, and write technical report/documentation to be documented in an electronic notebook
- Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies (i.e. best lab practices)
- Be comfortable in the lab environment
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in science or metrologyMinimum Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in a technical field (bonus if experience in metrology and GLP/GMP/GDP)
- 2+ years management and customer service (bonus if experience with CMMS)
- General understanding of the development processes and has motivation to improve upon them
