Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of current experience maybe be in lieu of education in the federal contract environment or public health setting.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager will support the planning, program, and budget execution for the delivery of the 18
th IDEG (International Diabetes Epidemiology Group) symposium and training course scheduled for April 3, 2025, through April 6,20225 in Bangkok, Thailand. There are three (s) specific areas the project manager will support, 1) Local support for meeting planning, venue rental, and audio-visual support, 2) Travel bursaries for young emerging epidemiologist, particularly coming from low-and-middle income countries. And 3) Support for travel of invited speakers.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, experience in content creation and digital marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital marketing platforms/tools.
- Knowledge of diabetes epidemiology, public health principles, and federal health regulations preferred.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles related to federal contracts.
- Ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Support Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination:Support with the planning, organizing, and managing logistics for diabetes epidemiology events, workshops, conferences, courses and seminars.Assist with the coordination of venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, travel arrangements, and accommodations for participants and speakers.Support the developing detailed event timelines, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.Marketing and Outreach:Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote diabetes epidemiology events and initiatives.Create compelling content for promotional materials, including event invitations, newsletters, social media posts, and website updates.Utilize digital marketing tools and platforms to enhance outreach efforts and engage target audiences effectively.Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize engagement and attendance.Project Management and Accounting:Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure adherence to contract requirements.Track expenditures, reconcile invoices, and maintain financial records related to event planning, and project operations.Budget and financial services during and after the conclusion of the meeting (accounting, ensuring funds are being spent according to CDC regulations, final report of balance.Conduct quarterly meetings with CDC Contracting Officer Representative (COR), and meeting organizers to submit progress reports including quarterly progress reports & Final Technical Reports.P3S Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
