Field Inspector
Maryland, Eastern Shore
Maryland Energy Advisors (MDEA) is a rapidly growing energy management company that serves some of the area’s largest businesses, including real estate owners, restaurants, and manufacturers. We provide consulting services for utilities across the United States, and we are looking for a customer centric individual to join our team as the Field Inspector for Maryland’s Eastern Shore.As a Field Inspector you’ll conduct site inspections and develop/ maintain reporting for multiple energy efficiency projects.
Your technical expertise, communication skills, mental flexibility, and excellent customer care skills are vital to completing program objectives and goals. You’ll collaboratively work with the team to provide field support and implement market-transforming programs that encourages energy efficiency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and perform in-progress, post-inspections of program-related work completed for participants in energy efficiency programs.
- Interact with customers, Service Providers, or other stakeholders when performing on-site pre and post inspections to ensure quality work.
- Verify, evaluate, and document the work performed and report findings and recommendations as required. Work may involve data collection both electronically and on paper and data entry in various electronic program-management systems.
- Identify missed opportunities and work with the Account Executive team for deeper measure opportunities when applicable.
- Duties may include re-inspection of work that previously required corrective action.
- Assist applicants with making necessary changes to submissions when necessary.
- Conduct work in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ degree from an accredited University or equivalent.
- Relevant industry certifications as required by program and client guidelines.
- Prior energy efficiency expertise and technical expertise preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and prioritization skills necessary.
- Ability to work and make decisions independently and to apply knowledge and skills to new situations as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately, in both speech and writing, with customers, colleagues, service providers, managers and clients.
- Valid driver’s license required, and use of personal vehicle may be necessary with milage reimbursement.
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
