Position Summary
Reporting to the Sample and Data Operations Manager in the Data Systems and Analytics unit. The Data Operations Associate will provide support in areas of sample processing, tracking, data entry, reporting, and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform Data entry – using Excel, Access, and/or Voxco.
- Update databases and spreadsheets – using Access and Excel.
- Maintain documentation regarding unit and project processes, document production, project schedules, and technical issues.
- Provide administrative support to the unit and for the Sample and Data Operations Manager.
- Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on operational documents and processes.
- Monitor and maintain unit supplies, ensuring availability for operational needs.
- Produce internal and client-facing reports.
- Assist in the development of current and future documentation for projects and processes inclusive of hard copy production and project technical assistance.
- Manage and maintain the import and export of project-related files.
- Assist with coding and data quality checks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement includes a 4-year degree from an accredited college, university, or business school or 2-year degree and a minimum of 3 years working experience, or High School diploma with 4+ years of related work experience

- Strong working knowledge of administration in a technical environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to develop an understanding of organizational functions, policies, and procedures, as prescribed by management.
- Strong skills in the use of office equipment such as personal computers and office software, fax and copy machines.
- Skill in entering, organizing, and retrieving data using computerized spreadsheets and databases, in preparing reports, and correspondence using Word, Excel, and other software, and in use of the Internet for research, communication (including email) and data exchange.
- Skilled in written and spoken communication of administrative and technical data with strong grammar/spelling knowledge sufficient to screen own work as well as that of others.
