About The Role:The Staff Accountant will be a highly motivated, experienced individual who can support best practices and contribute to financial reporting and process improvement. Reporting to the Controller, primary responsibilities will include participation in the day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close process, annual audit and special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Record daily banking and credit card activity in QuickBooks Online
- Record customer payments in Rev.io billing system
- Perform month-end close tasks including bank account reconciliations, journal entries, account reviews and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Coordinate with Controller on collections activities
- Coordinate with Office Manager on vendor management, including collection of W-9 forms and 1099 reporting
- Assist with management of Payments customer accounts
- Support annual external audit and tax activities
- Provide support for ad-hoc requests from Senior Leadership team as needed
- Support the monthly financial forecast and KPI metrics processes
- Special projects as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-3 years of Accounting experience.
- Experience in technology / SaaS industry strongly preferred
- Exceptional technical accounting, organization, communication skills, strong sense of urgency
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven problem-solver and critical thinker with exemplary standards of accounting execution
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills a must
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online highly desirable
