Parkopedia has the mission of providing the best in-car data and transaction services to make mobility ecological, efficient and convenient.Parkopedia is searching for a talented Junior Software Engineer to help support our Data Science team’s ingestion, ETL, infrastructure, and the productionisation of models.
The system is currently responsible for making sense of over a billion data points per day.Our ideal candidate will be someone who loves software engineering, wants to be in a machine learning and data science ecosystem, and gets a kick from delivering great code into production. You will be an important member of our team and work with smart colleagues in a supportive environment.We are part of a global team, but this role is based in Moldova at our Chisiau office. Parkopedia maintains a flexible location policy (hybrid) but the role will require a proportion of time to be spent at the Chisinau office.
Responsibilities
This role requires basic familiarity with software development in Python. Responsibilities include data pipelines creation, machine-learning engineering tasks, running clusters of containers in the cloud with a focus on development and maintenance of scalable and robust Python code.
All code we produce must be clean, well-documented, and maintainable, adhering to best practices and coding standards. To guarantee smooth operation for our customers, we operate a culture where our developers monitor and troubleshoot performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Beyond technical expertise, collaboration is key. You will work closely with senior engineers who will guide your design, implementation and testing as we seek to develop products and improve our existing infrastructure. Our teams collaborate effectively, and foster a supportive and open environment.
Requirements
- Experience
- Minimum BSc in Computer Science, or a relevant field. Or professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with Python, preferably with data science tools like Pandas and Numpy.
- Knowledge of
