Check out our GOASG website Test engineer:The person in this role will define the sequence of tasks and actions to acquire and collect objective product data. This data includes, but is not limited to product behavioral performance, quality attributes, cosmetic appearance in compliance with the product definition, company and industry standards.Key responsibilities:
- Translate - First principal analysis of interactions defined system requirements or design specifications into characterized and formal test methods for the purposes of verification.
- Safety - Recognize and conform to applicable industry and client safety training, procedures, and responses.
- Testing - Design, develop, and implement customized test equipment, fixturing, methodologies, and instrumentation for product development testing.
- Characterize Data - Able to perform standard device testing such as DOE and GRR testing to characterize and formalize methods.
- Accuracy and Precision - Conduct test methods and protocols as written. Record results in real time, in compliance with industry standard practices.
- Statistics - Working knowledge of basic statistics.
- Standards - Identify and apply industry and client standards.
- Technical Writing - Draft formal methods from requirements and designs specifications for review and approval prior to test execution. Update and correct script and protocol errors for re-approval and re-execution.
- Preparation - Coordination with engineers and verification execution resources to identify materials, material traceability, and supply quantity and availability.
- Organization - Able to track and maintain test materials, material traceability, test requests, test dates, testing issues, and deadlines.
- Communication - Report, display, present testing results and progress; communicate design or test issues and future improvements.
- Engagement - Contribute to the technical team knowledge and capabilities of objective verification processes, standards, practices and industry developments.
- Verification - Review quality of test results and whether they satisfy or fail expected results.
- Continuous Development - Identify, document and implement a knowledge, competence, and capability enrichment plan in coordination with leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Lab knowledge: Mechanical device lab testing and lab equipment experience.
- Expertise: Identify and articulate expected results of test steps, items, and cases for object demonstration of compliance to design and stakeholder needs.
- Working knowledge: Appropriate units of measure, measurement uncertainty, first principles formulae
- Teamwork: Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration, challenge resolution, communication effectiveness, urgency negotiation, organization priorities, accountability, work product integrity.
