Position Summary
Delva Tool (DTM), a CMT company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include the development of machining processes, standards, programs, and tooling for a variety of customer components at DTM. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. The salary range for this role is between $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year depending on experience*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops manufacturing processes according to customer requirements.
- Participates in project management and planning to ensure efficient handling of projects.
- Adjusts production processes and procedures to meet quality standards and production schedules.
- Communicates daily with other shifts and departments regarding quality, workload capacity, safety, staffing, and machine or component problems.
- Maintains awareness of equipment condition, notifying maintenance of items requiring attention and executes necessary actions to maintain safe and effective equipment.
- Keeps management abreast of daily progress, developments, and pending problems.
- Drives product cost improvements using lean manufacturing tools; ensures a culture of continuous improvement is implemented and sustained.
- Meets and complies with all quality requirements and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Diagnoses and eliminates bottlenecks in the production process.
- Assists in scrap reduction analysis.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering preferred.
- 5+ years' experience in an AS9100D/ISO9001:2015 CNC production machining environment is required.
- Experience in or knowledge of lean manufacturing is required.
- Experience in or knowledge of all machining practices, tool design, and GD&T is required.
