The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to support aggressive growth objectives within our brokerage business. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and highly motivated individual who thrives in a competitive and fast-paced environment and can anticipate and quickly respond to developments in the ever-changing fiber commodity market.
This position offers a competitive base salary, plus bonus and commission plan.
How you will make an impact:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Actively build and maintain customer/supplier relationships that create both short-term and long-term value and growth opportunities
- Develop and maintain and understanding of fiber market dynamics, including supplier and customer demands
- Develop and maintain supply that creates value across customer demand, including the ability to creatively present alternatives when necessary to meet customer/supplier needs
- Establish WPC as the preferred partner for our customers and suppliers by maintaining excellent quality and customer service standards
- Work both independently and cross-functionally with other teams to achieve company success
- Utilize economic and critical thinking skills to achieve sustainable long-term success
- Relentlessly challenge the status-quo to maximize value to WPC and our customers and suppliers

What you need to succeed:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in logistics, sales, or a related field is required.
- Prior experience with fiber commodities is strongly preferred.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- Capable of multi-tasking while being highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Ability to understand and analyze complex information
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to creatively determine the most efficient solution to unique issues that are presented on the fly
- Capable of communicating effectively in person, over video conference, via email and phone, and in groups as a presenter or contributor
- Thorough understanding and comfort the digital world, including a comfort level in learning how to utilize various digital platforms as needed to complete tasks
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships both inside and outside the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
