We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team.The ideal engineer is someone with strong software design fundamentals, a high bias towards action, and an itch for better-understanding business and consumer needs. We also believe the best software engineers balance technical ability with empathy for customers.
What You’ll Do
- Scale our backend frameworks to support new feature requests and performance requirements
- Collaborate with broader Technology team to improve reliability of existing systems
- Writes and delivers reliable code through integration, test automation, and in-depth code reviews
- Apply experience and knowledge of industry best practices to support and continuously improve the performance, efficiency, and maintainability of existing applications
Technologies
- Languages: Primarily, Go and Ruby on Rails. Experience with Python or Javascript, a plus.
- Data: Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Pinot, Redshift
- Infra & Devops: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI
What You Bring
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience writing clean, stable and maintainable code in high-scale production environments
